In the latest blog posts, we’ve been discussing why we should come to Jesus. We learned that Jesus is the light, the way and the ONLY true hope. If you missed those blog posts, you can check the first part Here, and the second part Here. Now let’s talk about how we should be once we come to Jesus. Although we come to Jesus exactly how we are, but we can not stay like that. In the book called Bible, God teaches us how to live according to His will. In 2nd Corinthians 5:17, from the NIV translation, God said, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” Meaning that after we come to Jesus, we are a new person. The person that we were before Christ, we can no longer be that person.
We have to learn and inhabit the lifestyle of Jesus. From now on, everything that we are and do has to be in the will of God. Meaning that, God has to order and approves our steps. Just like 1st Corinthians 6:11 from the NIV translation says, “And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” Therefore, we have to live according to our newly clean self. All of our ways and actions has to be transformed through Christ Jesus.
Our speech has to be transformed, our actions has to be transformed and our attitudes has to be transformed. Our new and only way of living has to be God’s way. Just like the word of God says in Philippians 4:8, also from the NIV translation. “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.” Therefore, we have to be just like the word of God teaches us to be. Although it might seem difficult to be transformed into a new person. But through the mighty power of Jesus that is at work within us, we will be transformed into the person God has created us to be. So, have faith and allow Jesus to transform your entire life.

Father God, I have accepted you to be my Lord and Savior. I offer myself to you as a living sacrifice. Transform my entire life the way you have created me to be. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen!
